AVEVA Asset Information Management (AIM)
AVEVA™ Asset Information Management (AIM) is a comprehensive, web-based solution developed to centralize and contextualize asset information across the full lifecycle of industrial facilities. While AIM is ideally suited for deployment at the enterprise level, its native capabilities are limited when it comes to deep data extraction from legacy systems and documents from brownfield projects.
- AIM is Not Primarily Designed for Raw Data Extraction
- AIM expects structured metadata to map documents to objects properly.
- Handling Unstructured Legacy content needs a custom process involving data Specialists, Complex Configuration and 3rd party Tools
- Manual Metadata Entry is Often Required
- Limited Automation for Bulk Ingestion, often requires manual asociation to link to correct Assets and Systems
- No Deep Integration for Legacy Engineering File Types like AutoCAD, Microstation, PDFs.
AIM-X4D EcoSystem
X4D is a standalone solution for legacy data extraction, validation, and transformation, designed to accelerate digitalization initiatives. It can operate independently or be optionally integrated with Asset Lifecycle Information Management (ALIM) systems like Hexagon SDx® or AVEVA™ AIM.
- Extracting Tags and associated properties from legacy databases.
- Digitizing and extracting information from native drawings and scanned documents.
- Capturing key data from engineering datasheets and vendor documents.
- Supports database schemas imported from AVEVA Engineering, ISM, CFIHOS, ISO 15926, and DEXPI.
- Enables seamless and efficient integration of legacy and brownfield data into AIM.
- Improves data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the enterprise.
